| Christopher Eberts
CHRISTOPHER EBERTS (Producer) is an entrepreneur and filmmaker. He has been an international investment banker and a motion picture studio executive, as well as the founder of several independent feature film and television production companies. In 1998 he produced Women Wanted starring Keifer Sutherland and Holly Hunter. The film won Best Picture and Best Actor at the Slamdunk Film Festival in January 2000, shortly after he completed production on The Watcher.
He is currently producing JD, starring Devon Sawa and Jena Malone. Eberts is also a partner in Screenworks Media Inc., which is producing a number of films, including: Angels, directed by Chris Ayers (Smoke Signals) starring Oscar nominee Samantha Morton; The Conspirator, starring Robin Williams; writer/director Daniel Pyne's The Tourist and Mustang Sally, written by Malcolm Clarke.
Previously, Eberts was vice president of production at Pearlman Productions, which was based at 20th Century Fox. He was responsible for all phases of development and production. Before that he was associate producer for Filmworks Inc., where he was involved in the development and production of Malcolm Clarke's A Day in the Death of America.
A native of Canada, Eberts began with Central Capital Corporation as an Associate in the Merchant Banking division. While at Central Capital and Solomon, he placed $100 million on behalf of the firm, in a wide spectrum of real estate and corporate venture capital investments. |
